The ITFA is excited to announce a new venue for the ITFA National Championships for 2014. The ITF-style Taekwon-Do competition will be hosted at Sydney University Sports and Aquatic Centre, Darlington Road, Darlington, NSW.
This site is a multi-purpose venue with 4 indoor courts, a 50m swimming pool, a fitness class and separate spin room, a gym and on-site cafe. The ITFA Championships will be in the new Brydens Stadium, which only opened a year ago. The venue has amazing spectator seating allowing good visibility for all competitors on the floor.
This is the second year the ITFA has run a championship on this scale and opens it’s doors to all ITF and WTF practitioners to come along and enjoy the day. Entrants are from 8th Kup and above and can compete in Pattern, Sparring, Destruction (12 years and above) and agility. The ITFA also introduced a new ‘Special Technique Section’ at its inaugural championships in 2013. This section is a multi-target event in that the competitor must prepare their own break which must include a minimum of 3 targets in the air, in one jump e.g. two directional kick, turning kick performed one after the other before touching down on the mats. This allows the competitors to showcase their own skill and agility and also is great to watch!
The ITFA is offering an Early Bird rate for all competitors who apply before 30th June 2014. FOr more information on the Championships or a copy of the ITFA rule book, please contact email@example.com
