Originally from the UK, Mr Ian Britton, VI Dan and Mrs Katherine Britton, IV Dan are both International Instructors who trained under First Grand Master Rhee Ki Ka (FGMR) for many years. They were both also privileged to train under the Taekwon-Do Founder, General Choi Hong Hi.
Mr and Mrs Britton moved to New Zealand with their two children in 2011. Finally work commitments have allowed the couple to find a venue and open a Taekwon-Do school so they can continue practicing the Art they both enjoy.
Mr Britton attended the FGMR International Instructor Course hosted by the ITFA in Sydney in April 2012. He returned with his family in April 2014 and attended the course with Mrs Britton. Master Andrew K H Rhee has worked closely with the Brittons back in the UK before moving to Australia in 2010 and founding the ITFA. It is great that these great people are now working together again to promote the Art as the Founder intended.
The first class at ITFA Beachlands is on Monday 13th October 2014 at 7pm. Taekwon-Do classes are open to all ages and families. Class times are Mondays and Wednesdays 7-8.30pm.
