Master Andrew K H Rhee presents Student of the Year awards at the end of each year to recognise dedication and growth in Taekwon-Do. Last year Zac Stephens-Paolella was the ITFA Most Improved Student 2013. Here is what Zac had to say about his achievement:

When did you start Taekwon-Do?
2 1/2 years ago (I think)
5th Kup Green belt blue stripe
Where do you train?
In the Randwick Public School Hall
Why did you start Taekwon-Do?
Because I wanted to do Martial Arts and a friend told me where to do it
What do you like about Taekwon-Do?
That it is fun and you get to learn more cool moves when you get higher up the grades
What has been your favourite moment so far?
Breaking my first piece of wood and whamming the most improved student of the year award
What award did you win in 2013?
ITFA Most Improved Student of the Year
What was your reaction when you received you award?
I was stunned that I got that award, I though ‘Wow I got an award!’
What is your goal for 2014?
Get higher up the grades and keep Taekwon-Do up
What would you say to someone interest in joining Taekwon-Do?
You should start doing Taekwon-Do and continue on doing it until you get to Black Belt.
What do your friends think of you doing Taekwon-Do?
They might give it a go and see if they like it
Do you want to be an Instructor one day?
Yes I would love to be an Instructor one day
When do you think you will get your Black Belt?
Maybe in a year and a half
*Zac is currently training at ITFA Randwick and has now promoted to 4th Kup Blue Belt
