Miss Sherlock started Taekwon-Do in 1995 in Glasgow, UK and has been instructing for almost 11 years. She holds an International Instructor and Examiner qualification. All of her promotions have been under First Grandmaster Rhee Ki Ha, (FGMR), pioneer Master of Taekwon-Do. Miss Sherlock successfully graded to V Dan at the FGMR International Instructors Course in Sydney, 2012.
In addition to being a successful instructor in Scotland, Miss Sherlock has also helped to further the development of the UK Association (UKTA) through hosting various national events, the highlight of which was the successful Scottish Championships in 2003. As a 2nd Dan Black Belt at the time, Miss Sherlock was one of the lowest grades to ever be trusted with the organisation & running of such a high profile competition. Miss Sherlock chose to host the event at the Kelvin Hall, which was also home to the famous 1984 IV World Championships, hosted by FGMR. Miss Sherlock has a successful international competition career spanning 8 years including numerous European and 5 World championships
Miss Sherlock moved to Sydney from Melbourne in 2011 and now instructs at ITFA Waverley, Waverley College of Arts, Bondi Road, in the Eastern Suburbs on Tuesday and Thursday nights, and at ITFA Ultimo, Ultimo Public School, 51-55 Jones Street, Ultimo, NSW 2007 on Thursday afternoons after school. In July 2015, Miss Sherlock opened her newest class at ITFA Ramsgate., Sans Souci Literary Institute Hall, 107 Ramsgate Road, Ramsgate, NSW 2217. The children’s class is at 5.15pm and the adult class is at 6.15pm.
